Social Responsibility
Critical wants to help build a fairer society. Through our corporate social responsibility policy, we encourage our staff to address social issues and support strategic programs and partnerships to help make our communities better, stronger and more vibrant places to live, work and do business. This is an essential part of Critical’s culture and one we want to build on and consolidate.
Our charity of the year is chosen from staff members’ nominations; to nominate a charity a staff member must be actively involved with it. Our charity this year is Emmaus Hampshire, which has established a live/work community to house formerly homeless people and give them a route back into mainstream society.
Our staff are STEM Ambassadors, encouraging young people to consider educational choices that will suit them for careers in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics. Unlike manufacturing companies, our corporate ability to combat climate change is limited. However, we do everything we can, encouraging our staff to consider the environment in any energy-related choice they make in their working lives. As a company, we are working towards achieving the ISO14001 environmental standard.
