Critical Software is a highly successful and rapidly expanding software company with its main technical development centre based in Portugal.

Our parent company is one of the success stories of the IT industry. Only six years after its foundation in 1998, it achieved a ranking within Europe's Top 500 Companies for Growth as published in BusinessWeek. We aim to help continue that story by developing new business in the UK and northern Europe.

We will live up to Critical Software's reputation for providing high quality, technically innovative, cost effective solutions for clients in the commercial and public sectors.

The group's success stems from its commitment to bring quality and innovation to its customers' information systems in a timely and cost-effective manner. Growth has been sustained at a compound annual rate of 70%+, and group staff numbers reached 300 by the end of 2007. There are ten nationalities represented among our employees, and the working language of this international company is English.

Approximately 70% of the group’s revenue stems comes from contracts outside Portugal, and the company is proud to have a blue-chip client list that includes Siemens, Vodafone, EADS and Deutsche Telekom among many others renowned in Europe and the US. The client list also includes an international list of public sector bodies including the European Space Agency and NASA, work for the latter leading to the establishment of a US subsidiary in 2000.

Critical Software has a solid track record of on-time and on-budget projects and has successfully released technologies and products worldwide in specific niche markets such as dependability and high-performance computing. Our parent company operates a quality system accredited not only to ISO9001:2000 with Tick-IT but also CMMI Level 3 (accredited May 2006) across all disciplines of management and systems engineering.  The UK company follows these same processes, but will not be accredited to ISO9001:2000 until later in 2008.
