Critical Software has a significant track record in the Aeronautics and Space Markets. The first
customer of our group was NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, followed by Eumetsat in 2000 and ESA in 2001. Critical is also working with AgustaWestland in a range of solutions for both logistics support and avionics software development.

Critical's background includes concept studies, system and solution development as well as
specialized services such as Independent Product Assurance.
Our technical capabilities applicable to the aerospace industry are extensive, and range from services applicable to the production of high integrity software solutions (Quality & Product Assurance, ISVV - Independent Software Verification and Validation, RAMS - Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety) to services for customised development of systems using best available technologies and modelling methodologies such as SOA.
Supporting Availability Based Contracts
Critical Software has been supporting AgustaWestland on moving forward the Availability Based Contract business model. Critical has a significant knowledge of system architecture and system engineering and is able to reengineer systems of systems in order to better support new business models such as the Availability Based Contracting but also for Supply Chain Management and Management of MRO activities.
Custom Tool Development
Critical also develops tools for supporting new business processes. As an example, Critical has supported AgustaWestland with the implementation of a Fleet Planning capability by designing, developing and delivering a Fleet Planning Tool to meet AgustaWestland's requirements.
High Integrity Software Development
Based on its Space Market background, Critical has been providing specialist consultancy in the fields of software development for high integrity systems, having developed a solid track record of delivering and certifying software acording to RTCA DO178B up to class A.
