Critical Software appoints new BDM
Ian Hodgson joins the team

Critical Software Technologies has appointed Ian Hodgson as business development manager to spearhead growth of the company’s avionics business unit.
Prior to joining Critical, Hodgson led Esterel Technologies Northern European sales operation where he was responsible for establishing its safety critical tools and processes across leading avionics companies. Before that he was a technical manager at global electronic design company, Cadence Design Systems.
Commenting on the new appointment, company chairman Brian Luff says: “We have strong capabilities in civil and military avionics systems and software and our plans for growth are very ambitious. Ian’s role will be to develop this part of our business further. His skills and experience complement our business strategy and we are confident that he will be valuable in taking the business where it needs to go.”
After gaining an Honours degree in Microelectronics and Microprocessor Applications from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, Hodgson has amassed over twenty years experience in engineering and sales management.
