Critical Software Technologies achieves Healthy Workplace status
Award from healthcare provider, Simplyhealth
24 Feb 2011
Critical Software Technologies Ltd, based in Southampton, has been commended for demonstrating its commitment to the health and wellbeing of its employees by receiving a Simplyhealth Healthy Workplace award.
Provided by healthcare provider Simplyhealth, the Healthy Workplace awards recognise the contribution that UK organisations, in both the private and public sector, make to the welfare of employees. Winners of the award provide employees with a range of initiatives and benefits that help to keep their workforce motivated and healthy.
Jayne Veazey, spokesperson for Critical Software Technologies, commented: "We try to provide our staff with a range of initiatives that will help them to stay fit and well. We ensure that our office is stocked with fresh fruit on a weekly basis and provide staff with other healthy snacks throughout the day.
"Our leisure room is a place where staff can unwind and take time out from their work to play a game of table football, and as part of our employee benefits package we also offer half price gym membership.
"Through our 'Day at Home' briefings we cover items which are important to our employees such as health, work-life balance and team working. We operate a flexible working policy and allow employees to take additional leave in lieu of extra hours worked."
James Glover from Simplyhealth remarked: "We run this award scheme because we want to recognise and encourage companies to care about the health of their people. We believe that companies can make a positive contribution to the health of our nation. Congratulations to Critical Software Technologies on achieving Simplyhealth Healthy Workplace status and demonstrating that the health and wellbeing of its employees is fundamental."
