Critical Software invited to Business Summit
14 Jul 2010
Critical’s UK Chairman, Brian Luff, was invited to take part in a Business Summit at Lancaster House on 14th July. The Summit was led by the Business Secretary, Dr Vince Cable (pictured), and hosted by the Foreign & Commonwealth Office. It was aimed at discovering the barriers to entry faced by inwards investors to the UK like Critical. As a mark of the importance attached to this aspect of the economy, the opening speech was given by the Prime Minister, David Cameron, who very succinctly set out the government’s policy. This is based on free trade, with an aversion to protectionism, together with lower business taxes and a significant reduction in legislative red tape. The assembled business leaders had ample opportunity to give the ministerial team the benefit of their ideas.
